Attention: The Sarah Harmer show on Thursday night has been moved to the Logging Museum due to expected bad weather. Only FIRM tickets will be able to attend at the Logging Museum.
Sarah Harmer’s many fans know she periodically takes time off from music to recharge and do other, important stuff, such as working for the preservation of our wilderness. She finds the outdoors endlessly fascinating and believes spirituality is about being in service to other people and the natural world. As a friend said to her, “Nature and imagination are two of the world’s oldest friends. They do go hand in hand.”
So where better to celebrate her first release in many years than on our pristine wilderness stage, under the stars?
Back in the busy world our recording industry’s JUNO Awards have repeatedly celebrated Sarah’s work, but she is held in equally high esteem by her peers, appearing as a guest vocalist on albums by Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Rheostatics, Bruce Cockburn, Neko Case, Great Lake Swimmers and Tragically Hip. And she was honoured to be part of Gord Downie tribute at this year’s JUNO Awards.
This will be a special night with Sarah Harmer, who has a new collection of songs from a new album. We welcome her back to the Forest Festival.
