Spectacular Venue

Canadians know the special magic of a wilderness lake at dawn and the profound stillness of the lake after sunset. Time stands still, and sound resonates with extraordinary resonance and clarity, whether the slap of a beaver's tail nearby or a soprano singing from half a kilometer away. In this setting we learn to breathe again, to become alert to ripples in the water, the rustle of leaves overhead and to the constantly changing light. This constantly changing environment is a perfect setting for a new (yet age-old) union of music and nature.

Bone Lake is a completely secluded lake reserved for our exclusive use by The Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve. The Haliburton Forest is Canada's first "certified sustainable forest", meeting the stringent standards of the Forest Stewardship Council, which is supported by the World Wildlife Fund and Sierra Club. The Forest's 60,000 acres of rolling hardwood forests, pristine lakes, meandering rivers and extensive wetlands make it a nature enthusiast's dream.
